The Social Entrepreneurship Program in Madrid
This is a social entrepreneurship program designed by AIPC Pandora and the Impact Hub Madrid, The global network leader in social innovation. The objective of the program that will be fully taught in English, will be to provide participants with a practical framework to generate a social entrepreneurship project through the design and prototyping of entrepreneurial ideas aimed at solving some of the challenges defined by social agents. The program will begin with the presentation of different social challenges proposed by partnering social organizations. Most of these challenges will be real and at the NGOs where they will later volunteer in Valencia, where the participants will have the chance to share their work and contribute to the process of improvement of these Glo-cal issues. Participants will be divided into small groups to work on the different challenges. These groups will remain together in Valencia, during the implementation phase.
The training program will last 6 days. In the mornings, we will hold 4 hour training workshops: user and opportunity, value proposition, product / service design, business model of social enterprise and storytelling and presentation in public. There will be a different activity everyday after the meal, either a visit to a social innovation project in the city or a meeting with a social entrepreneur.
The program will end with the presentation of the prototypes made during the program to the collaborating organizations to study a possible integration within their activities.
On site project visit and Community Service (different locations)
In Valencia, the Basque Country or Málaga the same groups that worked together in Madrid will discover local entrepreneurship projects and join different NGOs whose challenges they have been working on. They will have working and creative sessions for one week, where they will share their work with the local teams, in common presentations or working in small groups with the staff or the departments of the organizations.
They will work 6 hours per day; living with a host family, learning about the local culture and sharing their own and doing cultural activities in the afternoons.
